SHIPPING / PAYMENT / CANCELLATIONS
How long does it take for my order to ship?
Non-personalized orders typically ship within 2-3 business days
Personalized stamps ship within 2-3 days after design approval
Personalized stationery, save the dates, invitations and such typically ship in about 1-2 weeks from the date of design approval.
All items ship via USPS unless express shipping is requested. Depending on your location, delivery times range from 3 to five days within the US or up to two weeks internationally. If you have any questions regarding this order, please contact us anytime
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship anywhere in the world and try to offer the most reasonable shipping rates possible. You will be able to select your country and view the shipping options in the shopping cart. Please note, Designkandy is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments as these are the responsibility of the buyer. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations that may apply to you.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs will be calculated based on the size of your order and your location and added to your total cost. Orders are shipped from Santa Monica, California with USPS First Class Mail unless express shipping is selected
International orders: Please be aware of any fees that individual countries may charge before placing an order. Designkandy is not responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments as these are the responsibility of the buyer
Payment + Security
All major credit cards are accepted. Transactions on our site are secured and your credit card information is never stored. We will never share or sell your information to any third party, and the information we collect is solely used to contact you about your order if necessary.
Payment is required in full in order to start the ordering and design process.
Do you charge sales tax?
We are only required to collect sales tax of 8.25% on any orders within the state of California. Sales tax does not apply for any other states or international orders.
What is your return and refund policy?
Non personalized items:
Unused and unopened items may be returned at your cost within 7 days of receipt for a refund. Once we receive the returned item(s) the charges will be credited to you minus the shipping costs. Used, opened, and/or sale items cannot be returned.
Once you give your final approval of your personalized design, we cannot accept returns due to any and all errors (such as misspelled words etc.). By approving your final proof you accept responsibility for the information and layout as shown. If errors are discovered after proof approval, you are solely responsible for reprinting charges.
What if I need to cancel my personalized order?
Because of the individual nature of personalized and/or custom designs and the labor involved to create a proof, we retain 50% of all personalized orders that are cancelled before final approval and BEFORE printing has begun . Personalized orders may not be cancelled once final proofs have been approved since the printing process starts immediately upon your design approval.
How much will it cost?
Personalized invitations and stationery that is currently available for sale on this site will only cost as much as the face value listed. Custom work starts at $25.00 for simple design work but the price increases with the time it takes to create your design.
ORDERING PROCESS, PROOFS + PRINTING
Simply place your order online and your products will ship within 2-5 days
Simply add the name/text to be added to the items in the message box during checkout. Most personalized stationery orders that only require a name change won't need design approval and will be ready to ship within 5-7 days.
Stamps, Wedding invitations, Save the Dates
All items that require more than a name change will require your approval before printing. Once you place your personalized order, one of our designers will get in touch with you if necessary to collect any additional information we may need from you (wording, pictures, etc.). Once we have everything we need, your design will be created and a proof is sent via email within 72 hours. You can request up to two free changes if necessary (one change equals a color or font change). Subsequent changes will be billed at $10.00 each. After signing off on the proof, we will send your project to print and you will be notified when it's ready to ship. It typically takes about 5-7 days from final design approval and will ship as soon as everything is ready.
Please remember that computer monitors vary and the color you see on the screen may not look exactly like the final printed product.
What happens if I find errors?
That depends on which stage of the process you find it. If you notice a spelling error or other typo on your digital proofs before giving your final approval, then we will fix it right away. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CAREFULLY CHECK YOUR FINAL DIGITAL PROOF FOR SPELLING ERRORS AND OTHER MISTAKES AS IT WILL BE PRINTED 'AS IS' AFTER YOU APPROVE THE DESIGN. Once you give the final approval of your design and the job has been sent to print, we will not be able to reverse the order and all errors, including, but not limited to, spelling, punctuation and layout are your responsibility. If an error occurs on our part, we will gladly re-print at no extra charge. Please check printed orders as soon as you receive them and inform us of any errors. Customer is responsible for all charges incurred if an error is found after 5 days of receipt of item, regardless of how the mistake occurred.
How long does it take to receive personalized orders?
Personalized stationery orders typically ship in about 1-2 weeks from the date of order (we won't require approval for simple name changes). Wedding stationery and all orders that require more than a name change will need approval first before any printing is started and will ship in 1-2 weeks after design approval
What is the difference between personalized items and a custom order?
Personalizable items are all currently available designs on this site that require more or less simple name, color and/or text changes. Custom orders are all new designs that require much more labor based on the clients needs and preferences.
Where do I submit my wording?
You will be able to add your info during the checkout process but if we need additional info, one of our designers will get in touch with you by email to either collect your wording or assist you in writing it. It is important that you provide the best email address to reach you.
Will I see a proof?
Absolutely! A proof will be emailed to you within 72 hours after all your info has been received, and your approval will be required before the order gets sent to print. Personalized stationery orders will receive their proofs in approximately 48 hours from the time of order/supplying the necessary info.
When should I mail out my save the dates and/or wedding invitations?
Save the dates are typically sent out 3 - 12 months before the wedding date but he timing will vary depending on various factors, such as wedding location and how many of your guests will require travel arrangements. Invitations are typically sent out 6-8 weeks before the wedding date.
I don't see my wedding colors in a design I like, can I choose my own?
You may choose your custom colors for any designs offered on this site by using this guide or you may supply your custom color by emailing a photo or other digital sample.
What kind of paper do you print on?
All of our designs are printed on fine, high quality, 100% recycled card stock. It is a heavy weight 130lb. cover stock in bright white or cream that has a soft, smooth finish. We also offer speciality papers such as 100% cotton paper or pearlescent shimmery paper by request.
Do you offer letterpress printing?
We do not offer letterpress at this time but will be adding this option in the future
Do you work with international clients?
Of course! We primarily work with our clients through e-mail and we ship internationally with the most reasonable rates
How long does the custom ordering process take?
The time it takes for custom work varies depending on each project but we are trying to get your items to you as quickly as possible. Stamp proofs are generally emailed within 48 hours of ordering and the stamps ship within 2 days of design approval. Personalized invitations or stationery cards will ship within 1-2 weeks after design approval. Completely custom designed work varies by project
Can I order samples?
Yes, non-customized sample packs are available for $4.95. If you'd like to order some then please click here and let us know which type of sample you are interested in.
Are you environmentally friendly?
Designkandy tries to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Our stationery is printed on 100% recycled paper stock and all of our outside vendor packaging and paper scraps are either recycled or reused for packaging, and we use local vendors whenever possible.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
At this time we do not offer gift wrapping but we offer to include gift notes to the lucky recipients on select items.
Can I buy your products locally?
